By David Rocco’s Dolce Vita 

INGREDIENTS

– 1 loaf of day-old bread, cut into small pieces
– 1/2 cup pine nuts, toasted
– 1/2 cup raisins
– 3 cups milk (710ml)
– 1 cup 35% whipping cream (240ml)
– 4 tablespoons honey (60ml)
– Cinnamon for sprinkling

DIRECTIONS

In a pot, combine milk and cream. Bring to a boil.

Stir in honey and remove from heat.

Place bread in a deep baking pan and sprinkle pine nuts and raisons on top.

Pour heated mixture over bread and sprinkle with a generous amount of cinnamon.

Place in a preheated oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and cook for approximately 15 minutes.

Serve immediately.

Yield: 4 servings
