This new season of Magnifica Italia takes us to Abruzzo, Molise, Emilia Romagna, Il Veneto, Lombardia, Piemonte, Sardegna and Calabria, where you will experience Italy’s most beautiful destinations in a way you have never seen before. Each episode will take you to a different part of the country to tell you all about its natural wonders, its diverse historical and artistic heritage and its ancient traditions. Stunning aerial views and in depth information give you the unique chance to visit Italy at its best.



Episode 1

Between the Adriatic and the Appenines there lie two Italian regions that are intimately linked and where tourism becomes discovery of small villages, National Parks and art cities. From the costal beaches to the mountain plateau of Gran Sasso and Majella and the National Park of Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise.

Episode 2

Flying over the valleys of Alto Adige with its lakes, villages and flowered balcons. From Valle Isarco to the plateau of Renon with its stunning earth pinnacles. Castles, woods and typical houses are encountered along the route to the Glacier of Similaun, where Ötzi was discovered

Episode 3

A journey along the Ionic coast looking for the historical roots of Calabria: From the ancient column of Hera Lacinia to Locri up until the wild landscapes of Aspromonte. The journey ends on the beautiful Tirrenic Coast, from the cliffs of Capo Vaticano to the charming sea town of Tropea.

Episode 4

A mosaic of villages, nature and art cities with a background of roaming motors and Verdi’s classical symphonies. From Rimini on the Adriatic coast to Ravenna, to admire the beautiful mosaics of the Byzantine Art. From Bologna and its ancient University to Ferrara and its prestigious past linked to the Estensi family.

Episode 5

From the Po Valley to the Alps with its, lakes and art cities including Milan, Italy’s metropols. Castles and Abbeys point Lomellina with beautiful Vigevano. The journey continues along Pavia and its Certosa until Como and Garda Lake with world famous Vittoriale, eccentric residence of poet Gabriele D’Annunzio.

Episode 6

Medieval fortresses, abbeys and parks of ancient nobility between Val di Susa and Turin. A charming territory with many attractions: beautiful santuaries and precious wines tastings with the imposing Fenestrelle fortress in the background and the Rivoli Castle announcing Turin, once capital of the Kingdom of Italy.

Episode 6

Emeralds, corals, granite and cork are Sardinia’s colours with its inland Nuraghi, charming coasts and beautiful blue waters. From famous Porto Cervo to the Archipelago of Maddalena and the wild landscapes off Nuoro. The journey stars from Orosei Gulf down to Villasimius up to Sardinia’s main centre Cagliari.

Episode 6

A tour between water and land: from the charming canals of the Venice Lagoon to the artistic and cultural city of Padua and then along the Brenta river with its amazing Palladio’s villas and Verona with its Arena, where Shakespeare located the most famous love story ever, Romeo and Juliet’s
