Forza! Together, we’re making a difference. TLN Supports 12th Annual Villa Charities GIRO

TLN host Antonio Giorgi was proud to once again emcee the 12th Annual Villa Charities GIRO fundraiser, a premier cycling event honouring the 101st Giro d’Italia while raises funds for seniors’ care in the Italian community. Cyclists, families, and Italian culture enthusiasts came together to test their endurance along three routes through the scenic regions of Vaughan and Caledon, while enjoying Italian-themed food and drink rest stops along the way. The GIRO play a significant role in raising the funds required to ensure that Villa Charities can continue to provide its unique brand of high-quality, culturally sensitive programs and services for the community. This 2018 edition raised approximately $120,000 for Villa Colombo and Villa Colombo Vaughan long-term care facilities.

13th Annual UniversalCare Strides For Stroke

TLN is a proud support of the annual UniversalCare Strides for Stroke in support of Mackenzie Health.  Since 2006, Strides for Stroke has raised nearly $1.78 million to help fund education programs and lifesaving equipment including CT Scanners, MRI and ECG machines, vital sign and bedside monitors that are used throughout the hospital and in the diagnoses and treatment of stroke care. This year, the 13th annual UniversalCare Strides For Stroke had nearly 1,300 participants, young and old, hit the streets of Richmond Hill and Vaughan on Saturday, May 5 to help raise an all-time record $275K+.

Pizza Nova’s That’s Amore Pizza For Kids Day In Support of Variety Village

Pizza Nova’s association with Variety Village spans over 30 years and has resulted in more than $1 million raised for Variety Village-The Children’s Charity. That’s Amore Pizza for Kids Day which started in 1999. For the 19th consecutive year, over 140 participating Pizza Nova locations participated in the initiative and with the help of their customers, Pizza Nova was able to surpass its goal to raise $118,602 for kids in need. Now -that’s amore! TLN Television salutes Pizza Nova on its ongoing community commitment and generosity.

An Evening With Lidia Bastianich

TLN Media Group was proud to partner with The Italian Earthquake Relief Fund (TIERF) and community champions Sam Ciccolini and Toni Varone to present “An Evening With Lidia Bastianich” – a SOLD OUT, charity event attended by over 600 VIP guest, business influencers, politicians and dignitaries at the Montecassino Event Centre in Woodbridge. Guest of Honour of Lidia Bastianich recently released her memoir, A Life of Love, Family and Food.  And as a special treat, special celebrity host David Rocco, no stranger to worldwide success with his own brand of culinary and cultural adventures, engaged Lidia in a lively one-on-one conversation about the women behind the empire.

TLN Emmy award-winning television host, best‐selling cookbook author, successful restaurateur, and owner of a flourishing food and entertainment business, Lidia Bastianich, was in Vancouver at the Italian Cultural Centre for her first Canadian stop to promote the release of her new memoir, Lidia: A Life of Love, Family And Food. TLN is proud to have partnered with the Italian Earthquake Relief Fund to present Lidia’s second Canadian stop on Friday May 4th at Montecassino Event Centre in Woodbridge. ST. MICHAEL’S FOUNDATION URBAN AFFAIR FUNDRAISER @ CORUS QUAY, TORONTO

As a longstanding supporter of the St. Michael’s Foundation, TLN was a proud Media Partner of ‘Urban Affair’, the  signature fundraiser supporting St. Michael’s Hospital, now the premier critical care hospital in Canada. Joining in the celebration, the Canadian icon and JUNO-award winning singer-songwriter Kim Mitchell provided a special performance for the sold-out crowd in attendance. Funds raised will go to top priorities at the Hospital, including helping to support research, purchasing new equipment and critical renovations.
