From Venice to Toronto, the 18th annual Venetian Ball took to the stage at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing arts.
Celebrating two important milestones: the 40th anniversary of Villa Charities and the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the spirit of Carnevale again inspired an immensely successful fundraising gala, raising a record breaking $1.25 million for the Villa Charities family of organizations.
TLN was a sponsor of the Italian-Canadian Community Foundation’s 27th annual Governors’ Ball which raised $325,000 for the Foundation and its mission.

Telelatino teams up with York University to launch the second annual Mundo Canuck Bursary program.
For a second consecutive year, TLN Telelatino and York University were proud to spearhead an endowment program which awards an annual bursary to York undergrad students who write the best essays about Hispanic life in Canada.
The bursary encourages the development of diverse voices and a breadth of viewpoints regarding the confluence of the Hispanic Diaspora and day-to-day Canadian living. York students can logo on to www.yorku.ca for additional information on how to submit essays for 2011.
With over 2 Million dollars raised to date since 1996, TLN is a proud supporter the Caritas organization.
Via its annual telethon, TLN continues to help increase national awareness of the Caritas organizations therapeutic community based rehabilitation program which focuses on addiction, mental health and recovery.
With Caritas regional group centers in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, the annual national broadcast of the telethon is one of a series of TLN’s outreach initiatives to support its viewing audience and their communities.
