Juan Dino Toledo – Musician

Juan Dino Toledo

Juan Dino Toledo is a flamenco/world/rock music guitarist, composer and live performer. He has toured and recorded with artists such as Jesse Cook and Jeff Healy. His solo album Samsara features styles ranging from Middle Eastern to Brazilian samba, flamenco, drum & bass, and classic rock. The song “Share Love” from this album earned him the Oneness Award from One World Music (UK/Europe).

He performs with Juan Dino Toledo & The Jam Sisters and collaborates on the experimental project The Nano Valverde & Juan Dino Toledo Project. Their albums “Volume 1” and “Volume 2” are available online. His latest solo instrumental album, Pierce the Vortex, fuses electronic, experimental, punk, and rock and is set for release soon.

Sonia Rodriguez – Principal Dancer

Sonia Rodriguez

Sonia Rodriguez is an acclaimed artist known for her elegance and dedication to ballet. She served as Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of Canada, retiring after an extraordinary 32-year career. Sonia performed nearly every leading classical role and danced works by Balanchine, Ratmansky, Kudelka, Wheeldon, Forsythe, Crystal Pite, and more.

Her original roles include Cinderella, Princess Vasilisa in The Firebird, and many others. Her accolades include: Grand Prix winner (Capri, 1989), Dancers First Award (2008, 2017), 10 Most Influential Hispanic Canadians (2009), the Order of Civil Merit from Spain (2011), and induction into Canada’s Walk of Fame (2012).
