CULTURES UNITED – CELEBRATING CANADA 150

 

Telelatino Network Canada’s most influential multilingual media company, and home of TLN Television, Italian –language Mediaset Italia and the Spanish-language Univision Canada channels, has partnered with TD Bank as the presenting sponsor of the network’s “Cultures United” Canada 150 community grassroots campaign in celebration of our country’s milestone birthday showcasing the multiculturalism that represents the true north strong and free.

The Canada 150 “Cultures United” campaign will feature TLN, Univision Canada and Mediaset Italia cameras at events across Canada capturing different communities Canada 150 celebrations. The grassroots initiative will be supported by a national TV campaign on all 3 networks (in English, Italian and Spanish) as well as with a strong digital media presence.

Centro Leonardo Da Vinci: Family Day

A whole Day of Celebration in Montreal, following the official recognition of June as Italian Heritage Month.  Through its cultural, artistic, sporting and social activities, the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre succeeded once again in enhancing the unity of Montreal’s Italian community, nourishing exchanges among people of all ages and strengthening bonds between cultural communities.

Un’altra bellissima giornata a Montreal sotto il segno delle Famiglie Italiane. Ad organizzarla, il Centro Leonardo Da Vinci in occasione del Mese del Retaggio Italiano.

TLN TV Host Antonio Giorgi and crew were granted exclusive access to a special reception to celebrate Canada-Italy Day on Parliament Hill. More than 650 attended the event with many Members of Parliament and special guests stopping by to say hello to TLN viewers across the country.

Italian Day On The Drive

Italian Day On The Drive

Amore was the theme of this year’s Italian Day on the Drive, a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and the Italian immigrant contributions to Vancouver.  Commercial Drive, also known as The Drive, is now home to Vancouver’s Little Italy.  Italian Day on the Drive takes place in June every year and transforms the area into a lively 14 block, vehicle free, celebration and community festa.  This year’s edition took place on Sunday, June 11 and drew over 350,000 visitors.

For the 3rd year in a row, TLN and Mediaset Italia were proud Media Partners of event with TLN’s own TV personality, Antonio Giorgi, invited to Co-Host.

Now into its seventh year since its return in 2010, Italian Day on The Drive represents the celebration of Italian culture and the contributions made to Vancouver by Italian immigrants and their children. A vibrant cultural street festival, Italian Day is a community driven event, attracting over 300,000 people and spanning 13 blocks along Commercial Drive in a day long celebration, while showcasing all that is Italian to Vancouver’s multi-cultural community of all ages.

Mediaset Italia ha avuto l’onore di essere Partner di un’ importante celebrazione dell’Italianità che si tiene a Vancouver da sette anni e che porta nelle strade di Commercial Drive su Little Italy piĂą di 300 mila persone distribuite lungo 13 isolati. Un evento multiculturale dedicato alla cultura, al cibo, all’arte, alla moda e alla musica Italiana.

TLN Television and Mediaset Italia were proud partners of the “Pranzo con Sergio Marchionne / Lunch With Sergio Marchionne” Fundraiser on Friday May 12, 2017.  The Italian-Canadian automotive executive was in Toronto to deliver the keynote talk to the who’s who of Canadian business, finance and politics in support of The Italy Earthquake Relief Fund to help the people and communities affected by the massive earthquakes in central Italy last August and most recently on January 18, 2017.

The Relief Fund is reaching out to all Canadians for donations to help devastated communities in Umbria, Lazio and Marche recover following the immediate relief efforts.

That’s Amore Pizza for Kids

For the 18th consecutive year, Pizza Nova’s over 130 participating locations sold a medium pepperoni pizza for $4.39 + tax! $1 from every pizza sold was donated to Variety Village -The Children’s Charity. Their goal was to raise over $100K, and with the help of many people in the Community they raised $105,007 for kids in need. Now -that’s amore!

Per il 18mo anno consecutivo i 130 punti vendita di Pizza Nova hanno venduto per un giorno pizze destinando il ricavato in beneficienza, a favore di Variety Village, istituto che opera con i ragazzi e le ragazze meno fortunati. Sono stati raccolti $105,000. Complimenti!
