A whole Day of Celebration in Montreal, following the official recognition of June as Italian Heritage Month. Â Through its cultural, artistic, sporting and social activities, the Leonardo Da Vinci Centre succeeded once again in enhancing the unity of Montreal’s Italian community, nourishing exchanges among people of all ages and strengthening bonds between cultural communities.

Amore was the theme of this year’s Italian Day on the Drive, a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and the Italian immigrant contributions to Vancouver. Commercial Drive, also known as The Drive, is now home to Vancouver’s Little Italy. Italian Day on the Drive takes place in June every year and transforms the area into a lively 14 block, vehicle free, celebration and community festa. This year’s edition took place on Sunday, June 11 and drew over 350,000 visitors.
For the 3rd year in a row, TLN and Mediaset Italia were proud Media Partners of event with TLN’s own TV personality, Antonio Giorgi, invited to Co-Host.

Now into its seventh year since its return in 2010, Italian Day on The Drive represents the celebration of Italian culture and the contributions made to Vancouver by Italian immigrants and their children. A vibrant cultural street festival, Italian Day is a community driven event, attracting over 300,000 people and spanning 13 blocks along Commercial Drive in a day long celebration, while showcasing all that is Italian to Vancouver’s multi-cultural community of all ages.

Big Night celebrated backyard gardens of the past, present, and future, and highlighted the long history of growing food in Toronto. TLN was very happy to be part of a magnificent, four-course, family-style meal inspired by classic Italian home cooking and prepared by some of the city’s finest chefs, all in support of our food access and community-building programs. TLN Television and Mediaset Italia were proud partners of the “Pranzo con Sergio Marchionne / Lunch With Sergio Marchionne” Fundraiser on Friday May 12, 2017. The Italian-Canadian automotive executive was in Toronto to deliver the keynote talk to the who’s who of Canadian business, finance and politics in support of The Italy Earthquake Relief Fund to help the people and communities affected by the massive earthquakes in central Italy last August and most recently on January 18, 2017.
The Relief Fund is reaching out to all Canadians for donations to help devastated communities in Umbria, Lazio and Marche recover following the immediate relief efforts.
